2023-24 Season Winds Up

With the conclusion of Theatre BC's Okanagan Zone Theatre Festival in Vernon (May 13-18, 2024), SOAP Theatre's 2023-2024 season has also come to an official close. This year, SOAP took two plays to festival, The Deception of Kathryn Vask and Halfway There. Both shows were well received by audiences and received accolades from the adjudicator.

SOAP's performances also brough home four festival awards:

• ​Best Actor in a Leading Female Role, awarded to Jenn MacNeil for her role as JANINE BABINEAU in Halfway There. (That's two for two, Jenn! Congratulations!)
• Best Props, for Halfway There, awarded to Margi Chantler,
• Special Merit 'Jump Scare' award (special effects) to Ashton Gludovatz, for The Deception of Kathryn Vask
• Special Merit Award for Actor Adjustment in The Deception of Kathryn Vask, to Craig Bjornson
